In our horses, a healthy mind is the key to a happy heart. This is where the true training begins.
1
General Training & Maintenance
If you are pregnant, studying, wanting to travel, seeking a break from horse commitments, or needing extra support to fine-tune your horse, then this training program is perfect for you.
We not only want to alleviate the pressure and support you, but we also love making you feel that your horse is in good hands. We don't just provide general maintenance; we aim to help your horse exceed expectations. We specialise in leisure, show, and dressage horses of all levels.
2
Performance
This training package is designed for horses that require a solid foundation in flatwork for show preparation or further refinement in the correct paces for competitive performance. Our program focuses on enhancing the athletic abilities of horses and ponies, improving their responsiveness and motivation, and nurturing calmness. We work on developing skills such as responsiveness to leg cues, achieving a soft and correct frame, mastering lateral movements and transitions, and refining balance and rhythm, which in turn will set you up for success in the show ring.
3
Re-Training
With extensive experience in the racing industry, working with racehorses and Off The Track Thoroughbreds, we provide thoroughbred handling and training with the ultimate care required. We start by building a strong foundation through groundwork and nurturing the human-equine connection to understand each horse's unique personality. Our approach focuses on developing fundamental aids, promoting suppleness, relieving tension and unwanted anxiety, breaking ingrained habits, introducing diversity, and encouraging correct muscle development.
This program will set your horse up for success and provide it with a positive opportunity and future in the discipline of your choice.
4
Behavioural
Is your horse being labeled as 'difficult' or thought to be unmanageable? Feeling confused and at a loss on how to move forward? We believe that every horse deserves an opportunity for change and a reset on belonging. Horses respond in different ways and often need the correct guidance to find a better way. We help identify the underlying cause of the problem and guide your horse to overcome these challenges. With the right support, communication, and guidance, change is possible.
5
Pre-Training
To all racehorse trainers, this one is for you. Not only can your racehorse benefit from a program that breaks up the intense track work cycle, but we can also give you the confidence that your horse is under the guidance of a knowledgeable trainer who has had extensive experience riding track work in an established racing stable. This is a suitable program for thoroughbreds that are coming back from a spell or young ones just starting out. It can help horses that are dealing with anxiety, stress, or unwanted habits that need to be corrected. Our daily routine consists of resetting the mind, groundwork, lunging techniques, pole work, and the fundamentals of dressage training to improve balance, responsiveness, softness, confidence, and relaxation, ultimately leading to better results on race day.

Before commencing training, all horses undergo a thorough review and assessment, which includes the collaborative expertise from our clients (the owner). We consider several factors and gather information about the horse, including it's past history, behaviour, environment, physique, and static factors such as genetics and age. Our aim is to tailor the training approach to suit the horse and achieve positive outcomes. We focus on producing confident, calm, and responsive horses, allowing them to progress at the pace that is right for them. Your horse's well-being and development are as important to us as they are to you.

Taking care of your horses and what we need from you.

To be accepted for a training program, your horse will need to be sound and in good health and weight condition. Feet, dental, worming, and vaccinations must be up to date before arrival.

Horses that are attending due to behavioural issues are required to have a vet check completed prior to commencement.

For all training services we offer, you will be required to complete a training service contract. This contract helps us understand the horse and keeps you fully informed about our services, requirements, expectations and legal obligations.

Empowering you and your horse for sustainable success.
After your horse completes it’s training, we offer a one-on-one session that guides and supports you through applying your horse's new skills. This enables you to confidently continue training at home and in your familiar surroundings.
If you feel you need a more personalised, interactive experience and the distance allows, we offer to swap out one weekly training session for a lesson at no extra cost.
Here's everything you need to know about our training schedule, fees and what's included.

Our minimum duration of training is 2 weeks. For horses with behavioural issues and those in need of re-training, a period of 4-8 weeks is considered ideal. However, we understand that each horse has unique needs and that every owner's circumstances are different. Therefore, we are committed to customising our services to meet the specific requirements of both the horse and the owner. We take pride in offering honest feedback and are dedicated to ensuring the success of our services. If we believe that a particular approach may not be suitable for your horse or if it may not provide you with the best value for your investment, we will communicate this openly and work together to find the most beneficial solution.
The amount of work your horse needs depends on it's requirements, but typically, your horse will be worked 5 days a week. The sessions can vary from 30 minutes for young horses to up to an hour for more intensive sessions. These sessions may include hacking around the property, ground work, or intensive dressage sessions.

Our fees are $550 per week for short-term training (up to 2 weeks) and $495 per week for longer-term training (2 weeks +), inclusive of GST. Your horse will receive two feedings per day, including hard feed and grass hay. Specialised feeding and supplements can be arranged in advance at the owner's expense.

We do everything in our power to prevent any injury, illness, or unexpected issues. However, if such a situation occurs, we have carefully chosen access to a farrier, dentist and veterinarian. Additional costs will apply.
