Welcome to Nayera Farm – a place that provides a little magic on a piece of paradise. The dream of filling the hearts of others with a love for animals and horses led to the development of Nayera Farm Stables and Stay. This 20-acre farm is located in the surrounding city of Shepparton, Victoria and boasts rustic charm, bushland, and river scenery. However, it required a whole heap of imagination and commitment to bring it back to life. ​

Hello, I'm Kylie, the trainer, coach, and passionate horse lover behind Nayera Farm.
​
I believe that every horse and rider deserves and has the potential to be something truly special. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, to think that the effort isn’t worth the reward, or to feel like giving up. But I’m here to remind you that with consistency, routine, and a solid plan, success is always within reach.
​
As a horse enthusiast, I have spent more than two decades exploring various disciplines such as dressage, showing, re-training, and the racing industry. I gained valuable insights into equine health, well-being, and behavior during my time spent as a track rider at Shane Nichols Racing. This experience was a pivotal moment in my career, as it strengthened my confidence and honed my training skills across various horses. It taught me to lead with a sense of relaxation, suppleness, and focus. In addition, the rapport between the rider and the horse is crucial for nurturing a harmonious relationship based on mutual understanding and respect.

Over the years, my training approach has evolved to include liberty and in-hand work to enhance the development of horses under saddle. These techniques not only improve the connection and communication between horse and rider, but also help build a strong foundation of trust, confidence, and responsiveness. Whether working with young horses or refining the skills of experienced ones, incorporating liberty and in-hand training has proven invaluable in creating a well-rounded, balanced horse.

I’m fortunate to be mentored by Kelly De Geus, a respected dressage trainer, piaffe specialist, and expert in biomechanics, communication, and connection from the Netherlands. Her mentorship has deepened my understanding of how biomechanics influence the horse’s movement and mindset. I’m grateful to integrate these advanced techniques and philosophies into my training, helping create more harmonious, responsive partnerships.

At Nayera Farm, we offer a range of services designed to support both horses and riders at every stage. Our horse training includes pre-training, in-hand, dressage, show preparation, working with off-the-track thoroughbreds, and competition riding in both dressage and showing. We also provide coaching, agistment, facility hire, and holiday stays.

We take immense pride in providing high-end care and equipment to support the growth and training of you and your horse. Our holistic approach ensures the health, mindset, and well-being of both you and your horse throughout the process.

THE STAY

Nayera Farm Stay is a modern brick homestay with rustic charm that exudes warmth, relaxation and grounding. The property is surrounded by native bushland and is located a short distance from the river that runs across the back of the farm. Depending on the season, the river may be high enough to offer magnificent views.
You can enjoy your own private oasis, private gardens, enjoy your evenings curled up by the fire place or spending your time enjoying the outdoors. The mornings are about waking up with a morning coffee, indulging yourself in the magical sceneries and listening to the melodious chirping of birds. Our farm stay features adorable farm animals that add to the charm of farm life and are friendly enough to pat and feed. You can get the full experience of our property with alpacas, horses, miniature goats, and highland cows.
The farm stay shares the bush property with a main house, which is approximately 60 metres away. However, your privacy is ensured, and your stay won't be interrupted.

Event & Holiday Stays

In addition to the upcoming farm stay, we also offer holiday and event stays with unpowered sites, perfect for those wishing to park their float or caravan and enjoy a peaceful stay with their horse on the property. Ideal for those attending local events or simply looking for a quiet getaway, our horse-friendly accommodation provides the space and tranquility you need to relax and recharge.
